Containing Fifty-Nine Views by W. Westall. Second Series. London, Charles
Tilt, 1834. First edition. Illustrated with 59 tissue-protected engraved
plates. Scenery descriptions by Thomas Moule. Contents include
Christchurch, Hampshire; The Pavilion, Brighton; By George's Church,
Liverpool; Melrose Abbey, Scotland; etc. Small octavo (8" x 5") in full
black leather, embossed circular wreath on both covers, stamped in gilt on
the spine, a.e.g. 118 pp., plus the plates and tissue guards, plus (6) pp.
of publisher's ads at the rear. The binder's name, Remnant & Edmonds,
London, is embossed at the foot of the front cover. The Westall plates are
immaculate and free of foxing. Professionally rebacked with the original
spine laid down, spine ends repaired. A handsome, near fine copy. $300.00
