Hello to all!

I am thinking about buying a copy of 2001 on DVD sometime.

When I saw 2001 at a movie theater in Chicago for the year 2001
're-release', there were, I think I remember two scenes, one at the begining
and then again at the end of intermission where there was 5(?) minutes of
black screen with a cacophony of voices/noises.

I've heard these refered to as 'the interludes'.

I am wondering of you who have 2001 on DVD, does this 'scene' appear even
once?
I am actually really hoping this does appear on the DVD.

Thanks in advance for any response!
-Steven
