Patri:

For some reason I can't reply to your MobiPocket post. You might
want to look at the Bookeen CyBook.

My biggest problem with all these E-books is that they do not
have an open source management program. I'll be darned if I'm
going to take the time to enter all my data into a database only
to have the database go away when they decide to get out of the
market. When they support a documented protocol for up/downloading
books, *now* that is progress.

Cheers,

-Wayne

All:

I totally screwed up. That was meant to be a personal post
to a friend of mine. (He is investigating E-Books, I remembered
that somebody posted the Cybook to this group a while ago;
hence the mistake.)

Sorry, 'bout that.

It's an informative post. With the Kindle and Cybook out, things are
getting interesting in the E-book world. The Bookeen looks like it may nose
ahead by formats supported. One day my Rocket may wind up getting replaced.
With the Baen CDs and library, I'd even consider it on topic.

Happy Year,
