Piper, did someone steal your address or was this supposed to go somewhere
else? All I got was a link to nothing but SPAM.

What SPAM? It's an article in Reuters.

The truncated link led to a page filled with advertisements and in the
middle was the link to the article. I didn't see that at first as the
bright colored adds distracted me. Tinyurl.com is a free service that will
shrink a link to a DIRECT link. You click on it and it goes right there, no
"middle-man".

For instance this picture of me when I was healthier, better looking, and
more kind: http://tinyurl.com/22pq4w - that link leads right there unlike
the one you posted which went to a website that I had to click another link
to see,. Smile

It's some kind of meat in a tin can. Best known for it's use in
Monty Python skits.

What do you mean "too Long"? That implies there is an ending. I thought it
was like Pi -never ending.

My mother used to make us fried spam sandwiches with mustard. It was salty
as all get out.

Full of salt and hugely calorie-laden... real heart-attack stuff. I love
it too! For the perfect fried spam, slice, dip the slices in flour, then
egg, then breadcrumbs, then fry. That way, it soaks up even MORE grease
from the frying pan... Yum.

Cheers,
Pete.

My mother never cooked it (that I can remember anyway). My HS (private) had
a yearly camping trip for each class on the St. Croix river - optional but
strongly encouraged. I loved those trips. The counselors had SPAM cans in
the Wonogans (Think few hundred pound backpacks carried by two people) and
they'd fry slices in a pan over an open fire. I really loved those things.
