Post subject: DC's 1996 Graphic Novel Adaption of Nine Princes In Amber and The Guns of Avalon
Archived from groups: alt>books>roger-zelazny (more info?)

I just happened on a website last week that mentioned the graphic
adaptions. Therefore Saturday I went down to the local comic book shop
and after a little digging found most of them.

Each book is in three parts, I found all three parts of The Guns of
Avalon, but only Part II on Nine Princes In Amber. Their sister shop
had part III, and in a week or so I will have that. Now all that is
left is to find Part I.

I was actually pleasantly surprised, they followed the books quiet
well. The only objections I had was:
(1) The depiction of the Pattern and the walking of it.
(2) What they showed at times of the queen of Rebma, Lorraine, and
Dara left very little to the imagination.

Evidently I was asleep during 1996 to have missed these. It is too bad
they did not complete the rest of the series, I would have especially
like to have seen The Courts of Chaos.

the first issue is the best- Lou Harrison's painting is superior. He also did
the covers for part 2 and 3 of the Nine Princes books.
