Post subject: The Deep Range & Heron Island
Archived from groups: alt>books>arthur-clarke (more info?)

One of my favorite Arthur C. Clarke novels is The Deep Range. I recently
finished re-reading this fine novel and thoroughly enjoyed it. Much of the
novel takes place on a small island in the Great Barrier Reef off the coast
of Queensland, Australia. I was fiddling around with Google Earth a few
weeks ago and managed to find this island, which I thought was interesting.
I thought that I would share the co-ordinates for any other Google Earth
user:
Heron Island: 23 deg 26 min 32.29 sec S 151 deg 54 min 52.51 sec E

It looks like a terrific place to spend a few weeks diving. Take care...
