An early forerunner of these 'survival' programmes one hears of perhaps.....
Must have been quite an eye opener for Michael, seeing how the other half
lives, or exists might be a better word.
I remember hearing some years ago of an English MP who tried to live on
the dole for a month, and he packed it in after a week, finding it
impossible. From personal experience, I know what he went through!

I only remember him for making some highly inflammatory statement that
