OOPS, I accidently sent that off before finishing........ here I go again:
"When one looks at the pattern of the best movies made in this country, many
of them have been R-rated and, I woul say, high art - Taxi Driver, the
Godfather pictures, Apocalypse Now," notes Hellraiser's Clive Barker. In
response to what he sees as a softened PG-13 horror genre (e.g., The Ring
Two, The Grudge), Barker is creating a series of intentionally hardcore
fright flicks- in the vein of the epitome of the genre: "Almost everything
(that happens) to Linda Blair in the Exorcist would have to go with a
PG-14," Barker says. And that's enough to make anybody's head spin.
