Bravo in Canada is airing an hour show on Thursday at 9pm EST.

From the web site:

http://www.bravo.ca/schedule/Default.aspx?date=2-21-2008

An Evening With Stephen King (E) 2007
Recently honoured with the Canadian Booksellers Association's Lifetime
Achievement Award, King is the first non-Canadian to receive the honour.
BookTelevision's cameras were there to record the historic evening.
Authors Margaret Atwood and Clive Barker toast this literary legend, and
pop culture writer and essayist Chuck Klosterman interviews King
one-on-one. In his heartfelt acceptance speech, King pays tribute to
many Canadian writers who have made an impact on his life.

I can't find an American listing for that date.

Thank you, Jim!

I hadn't even noticed this on the TV listings. I will definitely be
watching it. Thanks for sharing this news.

Just watched it! I taped it last night because there were two back-to-back
SPN episodes on CW last night and just had to watch 'em. Besides, I
recorded the King interview on my King interview tape. Yes!

Loved King, hated the interviewer. Talk about long-winded! The man was so
impressed with the sound of his own voice he left no time for King to
respond.

We really have some wonderful literary interviewers in this country. Can't
imagine why they chose him.

Okay, rant over. King was wonderful!

The piece was subject to editing. Watching the show I thought the same
as you, but it didn't seem as much that way live.
Stephen King's acceptance speech was cut short as well, and I would like
to have seen his commentary on Robertson Davies and mention of Alistair
MacLeod because my memory is less than perfect.

Hey, it was great to watch anyway.

He mentioned Robertson Davies during his acceptance speech. In fact, I
found all of his references to Canadian Literature very generous.

Let's face it, he's a class act.

Wait a minute! You saw it live? You lucky duck, you!
