Ineffective, unless it comes from the peculiar canine
that attempted mastication.

While we tend not to celebrate them, you could consider that on any
given day there's an average of 136,895 earwigs having a birthday...

That's too many cakes to bake---you'll just have to
share. What would be the size of an earwig birthday
cake? Could anyone other than an earwig handle the
minute measurements involved?

Jackie (gloating--the looming budget crisis delayed my
work celebration, but it was worth the wait. My boss
made me a wonderful coconut cake! And I got to take
the leftovers home:-)

Ah, you have not been privileged to see the majesty of a cloud of hungry
earwigs descending on its prey! (Ideally a barrel of TS, but we make
do.)

I'm Back. - From visiting my sister and sister in law in Boston. Phew. No one in Boston (with the possible exception of hoteliers) has an airconditioner, most likely because no one needs one most of the time, and if we had gone up at just about any other time this..

does anyone know how to - clean the screens of those touchy-feely monitor screens? The soft ones that give a little if you touch them. Don't want to do any damage to someone else's machine. -- Diem Guardian of Gargoyles and Woodlice (email dm at diemzone not news)

Yet more new books - Sometimes you stumble across a book that you just want to tell everyone about. It happened with the first Harry Potter (although I mostly told people that it was ripping everyone else off :-) It happened with Jasper Fforde (and hooray, The Well of Lost...
