Personally, the only Bear books of theirs I could tolerate were the
ones written before 1975 or so. Maybe the
best ones were "The Bears' Picnic" and "The Bears' Vacation." Though I
suppose some would complain about the father's being made to look like
a fool so often - especially in the book about the Bear Scouts.
