I'm traveling as well. Off to Indiana to see the kids. Y'all be good.

Fortunately, eating too much turkey isn't a worry for me. Turkey was bland
to begin with, has no taste for me now, so I go for the Fre ... err ...
Honey Ham! Wink

The most we'll do is a fancy restaurant a couple of miles away. More likely
it'll be a frozen pizza tonight. Smile

But I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.

We cooked and cooked...all day Tuesday and Wednesday prepping for the Big
Day...so much food...and we had a really good time. We did send everything
home as leftovers with our visiting family as we're headed to Ray's sister's
tomorrow for a whole 'nuther weekend of MORE FOOD...we're taking a brisket
and a batch of Ray's jambalaya, which is more like rice dressing than the
traditional is. I'm so full and so tired, but all the dishes, pots and
pans, are washed and put away...I'm going to bed...hope everyone had a great
day and enjoy your weekend...see ya Monday!

As our litterary Master, Dean Koontz, says in Santa's Twin:

Well, now Thanksgiving is safely past,
more turkey eaten this year than last,
more stuffing stuffed, more yams jammed
into our mouths, and using both hands,
coleslaw in slews, biscuits by twos,
all of us too fat to fit in our shoes.

Me: Ham steak in honey sauce, candied yams andpoorly done, but some like
them like that, green beans and for dessert, pumpkin pie ala mode with
carmel dizzeling .... and an ice cream sandwhich later that night. Noiw
exuse me while I go schedule my gastric bypass!

We made reservations. I'm completely shocked we even went! My bro's
boyfriend might be a professional chef, but he's worked 15 hours every day
for two months .... he didn't want to cook anymore.
