Does anyone here know of a way to acquire some hardcover versions of Lewis
books, or were they all of the paperback variety. I have a number of his
books, Mere Christianity, Joyful Christian and of course Screwtape letters,
but I would really like to have these in hardback if they were printed. Any
one have any leads for me.
Thank you

I see hardback versions for sale in most Christian bookstores, and you will
find them on Amazon as well.

If price is a consideration, used bookstores are also a good source.
Often you can get a used hardcover in good condition for far less than
the same new book in paperback. Such stores are relatively rare
nowadays, but are sometimes found near universities or colleges. Check
the Yellow Pages of the major city nearest you.

But remember that Amazon is noted for charging higher prices for used
books than can be found elsewhere. (I wouldn't _think_ of calling them
overpriced or anything.)

If there's a shortage of used-book stores, and even if there isn't, don't
forget Internet marketplaces like <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.abebooks.com" target="_blank">www.abebooks.com</a> , which is my favorite
source. Advantage: vast numbers of bookstores from all over the world
list there, and that creates a genuine competitive market. Disadvantage,
relative to the local shop: Shipping charges.

I rely heavily on it, and have acquired the Green Book and that other one
named in Aboliton of Man just by putting them on my want list and waiting.
With Lewis editions, your only problem will probably be the large number
of choices it will immediately present.
