Just saw a commercial for the Hogfather movie to be shown on ION Television
in the U.S. Both episodes are scheduled to run back-to-back on Sunday,
November 25th. Didn't see a time, however.

Where did you see this? I just went to their website and didn't find
anything about it.

It was a commercial on another cable channel - Ovation, I think. I just
walked in as my wife was watching something else.

Does not matter. I do not have ION. hehehe I suppose I can check around to
see if I can find someone who does. I would not be surprised if it does find
its way to DVD eventually.

Does that mean they intend to cut it more for tv than it was in the UK?
Or does that mean that the dvd will have the deleted scene(s) inserted
into the sequence? Or does it mean something else?

Does the release of a German DVD hint that they might release a Canadian DVD?

_Wossname_ (the yahoogroup Discworld newsletter) just reported that
there will indeed be an American DVD (and therefore a Canadian one),
released, IIRC, Nov. 13, 2007.
We can begin haunting the big-box book-and-dvd-stores.

The Nov. 13 release in the US is only in Borders Bookstores!
The rest of the bookstores don't get it until March 2008.
The hype had something about a "special interview" but there
was an interview on the UK DVD anyway, so I don't know why
they said that.

This morning at the large Borders store they only had it listed
as "November" and the computer said it wasn't in their warehouses
yet. They said their system won't let them put in an advance
order for a DVD, only for a book. Hmm. and grrrrrrrrrr -
the store is a two-gallon drive for me. Good thing I had another
errand in that direction today, but I was hoping to have combined
trips.
