Dom/sub things - it's fantasy 'rape'. Or as I've heard it put a real
rape puts you at the mercy of a psycho, fantasy rape is when his masculine
charms overcome her reticence. Its "a ravishing". In the words of young
Doctor Frankenstein's fiance "Again? Oh well, seven always was my lucky
number."
So it may be "play" rape, but Victor seems to admit to himself, it
isn't just enthusiastic role playing. He likes it this way, but only
because "He loves this Girl." Weird head spaces one gets into.

Kinky, but "they make such a cute couple." And Thandi and Ginny have
hit it off, and Victor is doomed. Doomed, I tell you, doomed to be teased
mercilessly by the women in his life about things which he isn't ever going
to be comfortable talking about, just doing. Poor Victor, sentenced to be
the Station Chief of Erehwon (and Torch.), he'll be lucky if he emerges a
shadow of himself from that there briarpatch.

Fortunately Ginny will only be visiting Torch, so Victor has only Thandi to
tease him full time. [Grin]
Seriously, on another site I commented that Victor may enjoy the teasing
because of his "Inquisitor Persona". He fears/dislikes the "Inquisitor" but
the teasing means he's not just the "Inquisitor". Who would tease the
"Inquisitor". [Smile]

I wondering what role, if any, the Congo Wormhole will play.
We know it has three termini, but no clue as to where exactly they are or where
they lead. I couldn't tell if Mesa had been able to map where they end or not.

they end.

At least one, anyhow. They've known long enough that there were three
that they they've had time to find where all of them went.
Manticore has people with lots of experience investigating junctions, I
wonder if we will see some of them showing up, and finding one or two more? >> Stay informed about: Next Honorverse Book? |

Good point.
These two are good for each other, to each other, and in their own way,
make the world a better place by being together.

I'm reading this as not so much that Victor has fallen for the Big
Strong Amazon type, as there is something about her, that made her voice
"settle into his spine." It's not "love at first sight", but something
about the other one which neither can live without.
And in her own way, Berry is responsible for it coming together as
well.

Trouble. Strong (physically and mentally), fast thinkers and movers,
lethal, lovable and quite willing to exploit any advantage they find. The
only thing keeping them from being terrors is that their parents are better
at it.
But I would not want to be the chaperone for the senior trip ...

A worm hole junction that comes out places unknown has endless possibilities
besides the obvious.
The obvious is that as it now is Mesa is a very long way from its most
hostile opposition and has never been seriously threatened by them. If a
worm hole cut even half the time off a trip to Mesa that would be good for
trade and in many ways good fro Mesa but the odds that agents or even
warships from the Republic, Manticore, and others would start showing up in
Mesa's back yard are excellent. >> Stay informed about: Next Honorverse Book? |

Very, very true. Given the nature of Mesa's operations, there's been
considerable advantage to them being very far away from their most public
enemies. Iy's why the Mesans seem to currently prefer strategically hiding
behind the "skirts" of the Solarian League. They can manipulate the SL at
the same time that they are protected by the League's umbrella of
untouchability.
And that's also why the Manticoran wormhole into the Talbott cluster was so
bad for them. All of the sudden, the Manties have a much more direct and
shorter route to Mesa, if they chose to use it. >> Stay informed about: Next Honorverse Book? |

Not that much experience. The Talbot Cluster Wormhole junction was the newest
junction more about a hundred years and the Manties had oodles of luck in
opening it up
