Just after Edmund tells the White Witch that his siblings are at the Beavers' house, the White Witch sends her wolves after them. The wolves go howling off into the woods. Their howls give Peter, Susan, Lucy, and the Beavers enough warning to escape. Mrs. Beaver even has time to pack some snacks!
