Archived from groups: alt>books>deryni (more info?)

Hi everyone,

My name's Rebecca and I'm venturing into the world of newsgroups. I've been
a fan of Katherine Kurtz ever since checking out a copy of Camber of Culdi
from my local library when I was in high school. It didn't take long before
I was hooked! Please let me know if there are any special rules you have
around here!

I have one question about ITKS that I am hoping someone can answer for me.
At the beginning of the book it says that Sief and Jessamy's Deryni status
is a secret. (p. 4) But at Sief's funeral it's hinted that the Archbishop
knows that he was Deryni (pp. 34-35) and by the end of the book it appears
that everyone knows that Jessamy and her children are Deryni. I've read ITKS
quite a few times but I'm unable to find where their identities are exposed.
Can anyone help resolve the apparent inconsistency?

Welcome to the group. We are a friendly group who welcome discussion.
No special rules though we try to keep things tame as we have a wide
variety of age group that peak in time to time.

As for the disparity, I would tend to think it was an oops. Sief seems
to have been known as a Deryni but Seisyll Arilan, at least at this
point was not known to be Deryni. Line in the book probably should
have only referred to Seisyll.
