I can't give you exact dates, but I too remember an interview in which
Anne made this statement. My best guess is that she said it somewhere
around 1994, if that would help someone try to hunt it down.
Thanks...you know, come to think of it Rice did indicate that Louis
lied as early as 1988. In TVL, Lestat says that Louis's visit to him in
his ruin in 1929, just before he does underground, never happened.
While it is probable that Louis lied about some things, I tend to think
that the differences based on Louis and Lestat's individual
perspectives than Louis lying.
>From a literary point of view, I thought it was a clever and
believable way to account for the changes Rice made in Lestat's
character between Interview and TVL.
