| Just finished imagica, good book, but the ending was strange, not what I
expected. It seemed a bit weak after such a good story. I've noticed that
with almost all clive books, it's as if he doesn't come up with a satifying
ending.
And could someone explain the "Nisi Nirvana" thing....

Yep, you've finally sussed it... A few weak endings (like the last 100 pages
of Coldheart canyon).

Great, just bought this book... now should I look forward to reading it
or give up now?
Cheers.

beginnings are easy - ask any Bene Gesserit. endings are quite another
matter - ask Neil Gaiman.

i'm the guy that asked Poppy Z Brite that inane question about suffering and
art, that time she visited the Melbourne Writer's Festival.

Just to be boring and try and answer the question. As far as I understand it when the Imajica was reconciled it formed a shape like a ring donut! The "nisi nirvana" (which means "unless heaven" or "almost heaven") was in the space in the middle. While God was alive everyone went to be part of his city but once he was dead they could go to Nisi Nirvana instead which is what Gentle does at the end of the book. >> Stay informed about: Imagica |
