How the Kzin can finally win: Have a kzin telepath put on a thought
amplifier helmet (like the ones used by the thrint to control entire
planets). Said kzinti telepath could then control the human race!

The very idea violates a whole bunch of kzinti philosophical/moral
bases. Any true Hero would sooner die than allow such an abomination
to occur. The fact that plenty of telepaths would jump at the
opportunity only demonstrates (to "normal" kzinti) why it can not be
allowed.

Besides, can you imagine helmet hair on a kzin? It's not pretty.

Said kzinti telepath would pretty instantly break.

I know Kzinti telepaths can read minds, but can they exert control
over others? You can amplify zero ability all you like, but you'll
still have zero ability.

It would control any _Kzinti_ within range as well - and the Heroes would
never tolerate that.

Firstly, the large majority of the Kzinti would consider such a
tactic to be an un-warriorly action.
Secondly, what a lot of power to give to a telepath. You'd
better be sure of your telepath's motives. So get another telepath to
check on him. Hmmm, chicken and egg problem.
Paul Chafe was careful in Destiny's Forge [SPOILER] to obscure
the reason for confidence in Patriarch's Telepath.

Okay, have a Kzinti telepath find a Slaver amplifier helmet and put it on
without asking permission from non-telepathic Kzinti.

Once a Kzinti telepath put on the helmet, how would any Hero stop him?

Can Kzinti telepaths send? They seemed to only be receivers, to my
possibly faulty recall.

An amplified Kzinti telepath receiver would be an immense intelligence asset,
maybe enough to enable the Kzin to win.

How could the Heroes stop a Kzinti telepath who is wearing an amplifier
helmet?
