| Went and saw this last night with my wife and son. This one should go
into the plus column for SK adaptations.
The ending is nothing like the original story, though. Man!

That's what scares me! I loved the original story, ending and all.
It's been a long, long time since I've considered putting up with cell
phones (and the idiots who have conversations regardless of where they are
on them), people taking potty and snack breaks every five minutes and whiny
kids and ill-mannered adults to see a film I know I can rent in a month or
two and watch in the comfort of my home, but I want to go and see The Mist
so much I just might do it.

Maybe we got lucky because so many folks were burned out from the Black
Friday weekend. I'd say there was 15 people in the theatre we went to.
There was one goof who was talking, but I don't think it was on the
phone, they were talking to the person they came with. Even that was
short-lived because I think the movie held onto them pretty tight.

Someone after my own heart! Loved 'em.
Long time ago I went to see a movie in the early afternoon. I was the only
person in the theatre so I had my choice of seats. I picked the perfect
one. A few minutes before the film begain a couple came in and sat down
right in front of me. I moved to the second best seat in the house. They
moved to sit in front of me. I moved again. The movie started, another
person came in and everybody stayed where they were.
At the time I just thought it was weird. After reading the rant I'm
thinking maybe there are people out there who actually get their jollies
doing things like that. Sad.

I often enjoy movies at 5 pm. There are limited crowds because the
matinee folks have taken the kidlets home and the evening crowds haven't
begun to party yet. I've been in some pretty empty theaters and really
enjoyed it. Especially when it's a scary movie.
Last night my son and I saw The Mist! Wow. I do NOT want to see the
dreams of the folk that designed those things...... No plot spoilers,
but imnsho, it was well worth the price of admission!

I'm looking forward to it, though I'm going to have to wait until it
warms up a bit. We're having a bit of a cold snap here, just hanging on
till the next chinook.

Nope, it didn't do it for me. I guess I loved the book too much and there
wasn't enough time for character development. Didn't like the ending. Oh,
well.

I missed it in theatre release. Anyone know when it's coming out on DVD?
