Well I am the one whose hating the new Koontz books. I like the character
Odd but don't know if I can face another book of long floral descriptions
and no momentum. Not bothered with his last book, barely made it through
the one before that. He's been relegated to the 'buy when I see the pb in
the supermarket' list. Or ebay..

Scott, I guess we have to resign ourselves to the fact that there are fans

Quite good - not his best stuff but I enjoyed it. I pulled on the dunce cap
for not realising that Fungus Man was a ghost when he caught up with OT at
the church though. Doh!

The main thing I didn't enjoy about it was (And to be fair this could be
applied to virtually every BK book I've read) was that, yet again, the
central character was far too nice a person, absolutely no character flaws.

I enjoy the stories in nearly all the DK books I read but it gets a bit
samey how black and white the good or bad guys are.

As for Portugal - highly recommended, hot weather (My face is brown, my
shoulders are red and my white bits are unmentionable), cold sea, friendly
people, friendlier sangria. Burp!

I like OT but they are not of the same calibre of his earlier books, either
the really early horror ones or the ones around the time of One Door Away
From Heaven.

The Odd books seem written to a deadline and to formula and I find it a
shame, I still enjoy them.

glad you had a good time, you do know that you need to put sunscreen on the

What are the "rude bits" and how can you tell when they're being rude? Are
they
hanging out in the wrong places?
