Do we know what book, if any, Paul Cornell is going to be writing?
Frankly, I'll happily take more of his Pete Wisdom, but Excalibur
would be good, too...

Captain Britain and MI 13...I'm not sure if it's an ongoing or a mini
but it's starting soon and it will factor into Secret Invasion.

No Excalibur? That's okay. I would definitely love to see more MI 13.
I'm curious to see how he'll handle Captain Britain, but I hope it's
more back to basics. A return - or even mention - of Meggan would be
nice.

From what I heard it was going to be Excalibur, until Marvel decided that
they really didn't want to relaunch that name yet again. It's a wise move,
I feel - let Excalibur rest for a while.

The new title announced is "Captain Britain and MI 13". That's quite
the unusual combination. However, Cornell did an excellent job on the
Wisdom mini so I don't mind him sticking with mostly the same team.

Well, I don't think it's a MAX book...so that's a step in the right
direction...but the cast isn't limited to just MI 13 and Cap...at the
least, Spitfire is joining up...I'm all for it and I hope it means
Union Jack won't be far behind (I always thought they should have
factored into Excalibur from time to time and yet they never did).

I think I'd prefer Excalibur (why mess with the classics?)...and the
title would be far more fitting than previous series given that the
actual sword Excalibur is going to factor into the book...it's on the
cover of issue #2.

I liked the Wisdom (I love the character) but the art was
terrible...and I don't really think it needed to be a MAX book...but
that's just me.

I always thought Excalibur should have had more Brits than it did. I
also love Union Jack now that he's back to normal human proportions.
Never cared for the changes he went through in Knights of Pendragon. If
I did have an Excalibur team I'd probably have Brian, Meggan, Spitfire,
Union Jack, Lionheart and maybe Wisdom.

More Brits, yes...but all Brits? I'd like to see a couple of members
from across the pond (actually, I'd like to see Kitty back in
Excalibur...not that it will ever happen)...beyond that, your line-up
sounds pretty good...maybe have a larger cast that rotates in and out
as needed.

And I completely agree about Union Jack...I love his classic look and
I hope it sticks around...Knights of Pendragon was bad but the look
(for him and Spitfire) in New Invaders may have actually been worse.
