Late in the movie, Peter duels the White Witch. The first time she
knocks him down, she stands perfectly still for about 5 seconds, giving
him time to get up. Why would she stand still when she could have
finished Peter off?

That might be, but I still want to know why the White Witch didn't press home
her attack when Peter fell for the first time!

I have also wondered why the White Witch didn't beat a hasty retreat when she saw
Resurrected Aslan and a horde of reinforcements joining the battle.

Pride, vanity, etc. Like many a top seed she didn't feel she had
anything to worry about and wanted to prolong his suffering.

This was her last battle and she knew it. Where would she hide? It was
win or else.

Why not have those three giants she had held in reserve carry her away to the North? I
defy even Aslan to kill a giant!

Maybe she could flee to Calormene, whose leaders oppose Aslan.

Are you kidding? Aslan could destroy the planet, the universe (and
does in "The Last Battle) you think a mere giant would be a problem,
or finding the WW no matter where she was hiding?

Then why didn't Aslan erase the WW when she first appeared in Narnia in "The Magician's
Nephew"?
