Hello all

I caught an interview with pterry today (Thurs) on the Today program.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/today/listenagain/

It's a bit of a sad interview where he talks about his dementia, and
the lack of research funding.

I know he's probably had hundreds, but I was thinking of sending him a
note saying how much I'd enjoyed his work and wishing him well. Can
anyone suggest the best address to send it to, publisher, agent or
someone else?

Thanks.

I'm not sure for how long that will be available, and it may well not
be available at all outside the U.K. I've made an mp3 of it and put it
at www.andrec.plus.com/TPradio4Today20080313.mp3 . It's 9MB.

He has already tactfully suggested that he would prefer people not to do
that, unless they happen to be high powered brain specialist capable of
helping. I think that, while not going so far as to pretend it isn't
happening (he is far too level headed for that), he would rather it was
not mentioned except at such times and places as *he* has chosen to
discuss it - sych as the Today program. He knows very well that he has a
lot of very convinced fans, whose sympathy he can take for granted.

Jesus that hurt to listen to, he sounds well though. Thank you for posting
the link.

Terry Pratchett is one of those rare people who has made the world a better
place by being in it. I try to send him positive thoughts and well wishes
every day. If there is a great big cosmic consciousness and karma does
count for something, maybe the thousands of good thoughts he receives will
somehow be a help to him. He's put a lot of positive into our world, he
surely can have some back.
