If I want to make A book for someone, and they want to use the
pictures for something else, What are the best ways of securing and
protecting photographs without permanently affixing them to a page?

I found some older (1960's) photographs I'd like to put together for a
family member, but don't know that she'll like all of them. I don't
know who all the people are, and would hate to leave permanently a pic
of an old boyfriend, or wreck a treasured photo that she would rather
have framed on the wall. also sometimes people want to be able to
read the writings on the backs of the photos...

I am not too familiar with scrapbooking but I do alot of design and
layout, and quite a bit of collage. I use mostly mod podge and hand
drawn artwork and phrases....

thank you to anyone who has advice for me.

I would use old fashioned photo corners. They still look good and you can
get black, white, silver and gold. If you used white on the old photographs
which no doubt have a white edge, they would hardly be noticeable. They are
available in most scrapbook stores, or Michaels or Joann's.
