....which one would it be? Of course, to avoid flamewars, I'm assuming
we could somehow get Roger to make a cameo return from the dead to
write one more story or novel. Or, I suppose, a lost, completed
manuscript might be discovered in an attic or closet somewhere.

It's a tough call to pick just one, but I think I would want to
see another Francis Sandow novel. _Isle of the Dead_ was so great,
and _To Die in Italbar_ was so...ahem...not. I really liked
Sandow's personality, especially his complete willingness to admit
his flaws (being a coward, for example). 'Dismal Light' was worth
the price of admission, especially as an illustration of the way
RZ used to do 'outtakes' in order to create character subtext.

I'd really like to see Amber tied up nice and neat (the five short
stories posed more questions than they answered, IMHO), but I
think it would take another five books to do that, not just one.

Thoughts, anyone? Smile

For me, it's a toss-up between more Francis Sandow and more of the
unnamed character from the My Name Is Legion trilogy of stories...with
more Corwin and more of the character from This Immortal running next
in line...you can see that I have a fondness for Zelazny's self-mocking
but tough guy immortals.

Don't need more Merlin.

Ehh, well, "Nemo" literally means "No one" or even "no name" and I've
seen various people refer to that character by that name in articles.
But he's not referred to by name in any of the stories, and I don't
think Zelazny referred to him by name in any interviews either.

I hesitate to refer to him as "The Man With No Name" because that
recalls the Clint Eastwood characters in the spaghetti
westerns...characters that actually did have names in the movies,
though people seemed to forget that. "Hey, Blondie!"

For some reason, I want to call the _My Name is Legion_ guy Nemo,
but I don't think RZ ever names him. I wonder where I got the idea
his name is Nemo...?

As always, I second the Amber vote. One novel that tied up everything
in a nice conclusive package, answered all questions past and present.

Hi everyone,
I would probably go with Madwand, since this series was never actually
finished.

3) More "Nemo" books
2) finish Amber
1) more than anything some really good short stories like he did in his
early and middle career.

I'd love to see the last book in the Wizard World series. I personally
enjoyed those very much. I'd also love to see them illustrated by some
fantastic artist.
