....he would simply have landed outside Laketown, politely asked to see the
Master and studied his claws while he thoughtfully remarked to him: "You've
got a nice town here. It would be a pity if something happened to it."

"Arson is such an ugly word" - but joking aside, we must not forget that
Smaug was a Communist dragon, whereas Mafiosi are liberitarians with a
slight socialist undercurrent, which fortunately they have mostly abandoned.

Master! Wasn't Tolkien a consigliere at one point? And I'm quite sure
I remember reading in the Sacred Texts that Rivendell was called Casa
Nostra. Am I making that up?
