Stories That Twist Religion? i.e. bad angels, good demons ?

Hi all, new here.

I am trying to find stories that twist common religion in interesting perspectives. Particularly I'm looking for books related to Christian mythology. Examples of the sort of theme I am looking for include stories that portray angels as malicious entities, or demons as good entities, or show sympathy for the Devil, or show God as something that is not perfect, or just, or righteous, or kind, etc.

Some stories that I can think of right now that do this are:

The Devil's Apocrypha (by John deVito)

Short Stories:

Murder Mysteries (by Neil Gaiman)

Movies:

Dogma (by Kevin Smith)

Does anyone know of any other stories of this nature? Short stories, poems, movies, books, anything works. I'm sure that more exist, but I am having a hard time searching for them with any success.
