My turn for all the rain and wind. LOTS of rain and the wind gusts have
picked up late this afternoon and evening. We lost our power earlier today
for just a few minutes but not since then, thank goodness. It's too hot to
be without air conditioning. Anyway, so far, so good.

I wonder if Scott and Michael got washed away. Don't see anything from
either of them since the storm went over central Florida. My kids down
there said it was essentially a non-event. Just some rain, however, if
you've ever been close to a tropical storm you know there might be a little
rain where you are but across town or the county there might be flooding.

Later,

Glad all is well there and power is back up. We've been having lots of
rain, but for the last two days have had sunshine..YAY!! The grass in our
lawn looks like a lush field and the plants on Ray's big deck are forever
thankful.

I posted a reply to Linda yesterday. Lots of rain & wind here, along
with 20 hours of no electricity. As usual, I was on line went it went
out, so I had to hurry and shut everything down in a hurry. There was a
new sinkhole somewhere near Scott, but I haven't head anything from
him. He said something about waiting till Monday, to keep from having
his computer damaged by the lightning. More later, I'm still kind of
beat after doing what I could to get ready.

For some places, yes, but with others it was tragic. There has been
flooding so high in some areas that homes can be as deep as 6 FEET!

My area was relatively unscathed, just wind and branches falling. My power
fluctuated all week, so I tried to stay off the computer.

You shout try a chair, so you don't fall and hurt yourself.

Glad to know you and Scott are both ok.

Me and my big mouth - right after I posted my message, around 7:00 p.m. CST
yesterday, we lost our power and didn't get it back until around noon today.
It was rather cool, low 70's so it wasn't totally unpleasant. We've had
over 5" of rain and it came right over us before it lost it's strength and
turned into a depression. No damage here except for a few small limbs down
but our friend Sam had a large tree fall on another tree, broke a very large
limb off of it and it all landed just behind his carport, so we had to go up
there this morning and move what we could so he could at least get out. SO
lucky it didn't all land on the carport. It would have crushed his car.

My kid sister fell out of a swimming pool. A few years later she
tripped and fell up an entire flight of stairs, made the turn at the
landing, on up the last two steps, and made the right turn onto the
second floor before landing, face first. We were so proud of her! She
wasn't known to be graceful but if there had been home video cameras in
the late '60s, she would have won the top prize on "America's Funniest
Videos".

She would have still crashed into things. Like the day she ran off
the right side of the road, and wiped out the rear quarter panel. On
the drivers side. Sad

I had to take her for her first driver's test. She failed, really
bad, then got mad when I wouldn't let her drive the 20+ miles home.
