Writer like Clive Barker

Hi

I have read all of Barker's books and adored them (except for his most
recent works).

I was wondering if anybody knew of a writer in a similar vein? By that I
mean, similar writing style, gore factor, pace, ability to build
characterisation etc.

All suggestions greatly appreciated.
