A trilogy by Jeanne Kalogridis - Diaries of the Family Dracul

A three part series that links the historical Vlad "Dracula" Tepes to the
legendary Count Dracula. The first two books take place before the time
setting of Bram Stoker's Dracula, but the third overlaps it. It also throws
an interesting spin on the relationship between Dracula and Van Helsing.

Diaries of the Family Dracul:
* Covenent of the Vampire
* Children of the Vampire
* Lord of the Vampires

After being away for quite some time, I've returned to this group to
find it a shell of its former self. It seems so many of the old
posters have gone sadly away. In particular I miss the discussions and
the speculative fan fiction.

I remember there once was an archive. Is it gone now?

The group is a shadow of its former self because the author is a shadow
of her former self.

I seem to remember that Anne went after people writing with her
characters, threatening them with legal action. I'm sure there's
fanfic out there though. Have you tried google? Good luck!

I think a lot of former newsgroup posters have moved on to Live Journal.
There are some very active Anne Rice groups there. Smile

No spam, no trolls...it's rather nice.
