Hi,
I will take this opportunity to try to clear something up which always
bugged me about BaK: Why is the Pug in the game a white-haired older
person? Shouldn't he look relatively young? Was this an oversight or did
I miss something in the story/timeline?

Because the game designer and the art director were from different
planets. John Cutter, who ran BaK, was pulling his hair out over art
issues up to the last minute because the art director just decided he
was going to bloody well do things his way and that was that. Got his
ass fired at the last, but it was too late to make changes. Still a
pretty good game, IMHO.
Best, R.E.F.

No, they also made it available for download, although this was
temporary I think.

Well, I live in Poland, so a call will not be a toll free, I suppose.
But I guess I'll have to try to make a call because I haven't received any
response for an e-mail I sent a few days ago. Let's hope, they'll understand
my English. ;-P

Let me send Chuck an e-mail before you spend the money. I'll post what
I know and give him your e-mail in case he missed it or it got filtered
into junk.

You're probably writing about "BaK" (released 1993) and I mean "RtK" which
was released five years later.

For me "RtK" is _very_ playable. Great story (much better if you know other
Raymond Feist's books ), awesome music, still nice graphics and good
gameplay. And I have no problems with running in WinXP.

Raymond,
Any chance of Betrayal at Krondor being updated with modern graphics
(and maybe play-action) and re-released with exactly the same
story-line? Not many people nowadays have the machinery (or
DOS-fiddling inclination) to run the original version.
This game was a genuine classic and a re-released version with
up-to-date graphics and mechanics is sure to attract a lot of
attention.
