For the unwebbed, it is a knee brace thingie that generates
electricity while one is walking. Awesome!

Didn't see those, but I am very much in favor of generating my own
electricity, rather than depending on various entities (as it were)
to deliver it. Especially if one can do so when one is going about
ones daily activities rather than doing special stuff. (Eg,
connecting a bicycle to a battery to store electricity to run
computers, televisions, etc...

And I prefer things that don't use petrol or other pollutants. Less
evidence for the revenuers to use to locate you.

Err, not that I am an evil villain or anything like that.

Really.

Elizabeth

PS, six people have signed up to take my rainbow bracelet beading
class in June (before the advertising of it), and 11 (possibly 12, so
far) have signed up for the daisy chain tennis bracelet.

Neat, now they just have to figure out how to create
one that will load the electricity into re-chargable
batteries. That would really be useful as I go
through AAA moderately quickly. I have a "head lamp"
that I use for reading/doing crossword puzzels in bed.
It's more efficient for me than the traditional "book
lights"--I kept dropping & breaking them. The current
toy, slips around the head and runs on 2 AAAs.

Could it have something to do with the colour of the white light? It's presumably
not full-spectrum.

This is a test - I just managed to delete the spam and since I don't trust myself with electronic gadgets, I'm running a test to see if I've managed to do it properly. Or if I've managed to delete all messages before I have a chance to read them. Jackie

I'm Back. - From visiting my sister and sister in law in Boston. Phew. No one in Boston (with the possible exception of hoteliers) has an airconditioner, most likely because no one needs one most of the time, and if we had gone up at just about any other time this..

does anyone know how to - clean the screens of those touchy-feely monitor screens? The soft ones that give a little if you touch them. Don't want to do any damage to someone else's machine. -- Diem Guardian of Gargoyles and Woodlice (email dm at diemzone not news)

Yet more new books - Sometimes you stumble across a book that you just want to tell everyone about. It happened with the first Harry Potter (although I mostly told people that it was ripping everyone else off :-) It happened with Jasper Fforde (and hooray, The Well of Lost...

Ouch - Line 'em up Melody. I'm on virtual drinks only for the next week. I had an appointment with the doctor to check if I needed any adjustment on the treatment on my knee now the swellings gone down. Doctor thinks it's just cartilage and fluid so it's..
