I don't get much time to read or post these days, but picked up Buick 8 last
week in antcipation of vacation time i have this week. I wanted another
title, but the Barnes & Noble in my area must have something against Steve.
The selection royally sucked, but they had #2 on my list anyway.
Without any Spoilers, i've plowed 1/2 way through it so far (which is way
quicker than i expected), and am really liking it so far. It comes out of
the hole quickly, and slowly ramps up the interest. It's very easy to
follow, and doesn't contain much side/back story. The smallish band of
characters keeps the focus tight.
Hopefully the 2'nd half is as good as the 1'st. >> Stay informed about: finally reading Buick 8 |

Finished it last week, and started in on my 2'nd time through. Definitely a
new favorite King book on my bookshelf. IMO, it comes off written like an SK
short story. Or maybe it was a short story that got fattened up into a book.
I'm still on the fence wether revealing what Sandy saw at the end of the
book was better than leaving the Buick as a complete mystery. Either way, i
wouldn't have been disappointed.
BTW. What happened to ABSK ? Are newsgroups going the way of dial-up
internet connections ? >> Stay informed about: finally reading Buick 8 |
