I am using Windows Media Player, but I upgraded a couple weeks ago to
the newest version, and I don't like it!
What do you all use, and is there something else that is just more
basic, that I can organize my library easier, I don't like how the new
one sorts everything, it is more confusing.
I only use it to listen to my downloaded music or watch the occasional
video clip.
I would like suggestions please! Remember, the simpler the better! Smile

Well, there are QuickTime.com, videolan.org, realmedia.com, and if you go to
download.com, type "media player" in the search box, after searching you can
sort by OS, in your case Windows, and license (trial, free, pay, etc)

I am stoked! I am listening to my songs with JetAudio Basic, it is
perfect, I have everything organized how I want them, easy to navigate!
YAY!

You probably upgraded to Player 11. If you preferred your previous player,
you can
delete player 11 and redownload your previous player. But other have
suggested Quicktime
which is an Apple product. There's also VLC player which is a free
download. And then
there's RealTime. These are the most poplar but there are other players

Hi Fred, I found one I really like. Which do you use?

Actually, I use them all. Sometimes a program requires a specific Media
Player.
Also you may need to download Codec Packs. To watch Netflix movies, I had
to download their program to see the movies.

Well, that's a trick question in relation to YOUR needs. I don't listen to
the sound, obviously, and when I watch a video it's usually just a forward
in a joke so it's usually the default Windows media player. However if it
is a video I want to keep for some reason (Oh hush Fred) I save it to my
video's and use my Media Center.

I don't think I want to sit in front of my computer and listen to music.

Fact is, I wouldn't mind! Smile But you just download a group of songs then
set them in a library and press play and listen while you do something else.
