room fills with a brilliant white light, the walls start to moan moist
crimson tears, a tall shadowed figure stands with a grin on his face...

I look up, pull a pin from his head and let it drop to the floor....

I check this group just about everyday, I think yours is the first post in

I'm here, as always... waiting for something to happen...

Anyone read City of Saints and Madmen by Jeff VanderMeer? I'm reading it at
the moment, and it's pretty good so far. It's a dark and highly detailed
fantasy jobber, written in an intelligent and elegant style. In the absence
of any Barker discussion, I'd be interested to hear thoughts...
