On the subject of great, up-coming horror writers, has anyone here read (or
even heard of) David May's Soul Destroying?

I have to say I'd never even heard of this David May guy, but my girlfriend
was given one of his books as a birthday present and when she told me his
work was right up there with Clive Barker I was intrigued enough to give it
a read myself.

I was mightily impressed with Soul Destroying, I have to say. Whilst I
couldn't lay claim that it's the absolute best horror novel I've ever read,
it's without doubt one of the best, and certainly the best I've read in a
good number of years. It has great filmic potential too.

I'd be greatly interested to hear the views of anyone else who's read it.
And if you haven't... Well, I'd sure recommend that you do so. I just
picked up a copy from Amazon for my brother.
